Izcelsme

Turbo Vado SL tika laists klajā 2020. gadā kā Specialized viegls pilsētas e-velosipēds, kas ir atbilde Levo SL — tas pats SL motora platforma, bet konfigurēts pārvietošanai, fitnesam un kredītkartes tūrēm, nevis vienceliņam. Pirmā paaudze izmantoja SL 1.1 motoru (35 Nm) ar 320 Wh iekšējo akumulatoru un 17 kg svaru, kas patiesi mainīja priekšstatus par to, kā e-velosipēds var justies pedāļojot. Vado SL 2, kas tika laists klajā 2024. gada beigās, tika uzlabots ar SL 1.2 motoru (50 Nm, 320 W) un lielāku 520 Wh iekšējo akumulatoru, vienlaikus saglabājot zem 20 kg alumīnija svaru un ievērojamu 14.9 kg jaunajam oglekļa 6.0 trim. Flagmanis S-Racing LTD (€9,999) pievieno GRX grants komponentus un stila elementus no Specialized sacīkšu programmas, izplūstot robežu starp pārvietošanās un stūres e-velosipēdu. Vado SL platforma bija pionieris "e-velosipēds, kas pedāļojas kā velosipēds" segmentā, kurā vēlāk ienāca Trek (FX+), Cannondale (Treadwell Neo) un lielākā daļa lielo zīmolu.

  • Premium pricing — €3,800+ entry, up to €9,999 for the S-Racing LTD; expensive relative to heavier full-power commuter e-bikes.
  • Gen-1 SL 1.1 motor is audible under higher assist and its standard lighting was widely criticised as inadequate for night riding.
  • Range-extender, the practical fix for the small battery, is a costly add-on and occupies the only bottle-cage mount.
