Izcelsme

2023. gadā palaists kā pilnās piekares brālēns cietastes Tero modelim, Turbo Tero X izveidoja nišu, ko Specialized nosauca par "e-SUV" — visu spējīgu mašīnu ar 130/120 mm gājienu, mullet 29/27.5" riteņu izkārtojumu (27.5/27.5" S izmēram) un pilniem pilsētas braucamā stiprinājuma punktiem bagāžniekiem, spārniem un gaismām. Tero X aizņemas ģeometrijas norādes no iepriekšējās paaudzes Stumpjumper, bet ar augstāku apakšējo kronšteinu un vertikālāku kabīni visas dienas komfortam. Trīs motora režīmi aptver līniju: 50 Nm 2.0E uz 4.0, 70 Nm 2.0 uz 5.0 un 90 Nm 2.2 uz flagmaņa 6.0 — tas pats flagmaņa motors kā Levo Gen 3 un Tero 5.0. Visas apdares dalās ar 710 Wh iekšējo akumulatoru un to pašu alumīnija E5 rāmi. Specialized pozicionēja Tero X kā ideālu viena velosipēda komplektu Eiropas braucējiem, kas dzīvo gan pilsētas, gan meža tuvumā — izplatīts Baltijas, Ziemeļvalstu un Alpu tirgos.

Vājās puses
  • Heavy at ~26.5 kg — trades agility on tight, technical singletrack and manuals; not ideal as a pure trail eMTB
  • Reported speed-sensor/magnet errors that cleaning didn't always reset on long-term test units
  • No shift-detection in the motor controller — requires careful pedaling during shifts to protect the drivetrain
  • TCD2 display is non-removable, lacks auto-dimming, and the app still has no onboard turn-by-turn navigation (only shows where you've been)
  • Ground Control tires lack puncture resistance and reflective sidewalls; long front fender can clip obstacles and pointy kickstand sinks in soft ground; no bottle-cage room above the motor on larger frames

Riders who want one bike for everything — gravel adventures, forest singletrack, urban commuting, and weekend touring. Particularly suited to Baltic and Scandinavian users mixing road, gravel, and forest paths daily. Less ideal for pure singletrack riders (Levo SL is sharper) or pure commuters (Vado is faster and more comfortable on tarmac).
