Origin
Minimotors, the South Korean company behind the Dualtron brand, spent the 2010s steadily escalating the personal electric scooter into something far beyond a last-mile toy. After the Dualtron Ultra shocked the community with its power, the Dualtron X arrived in 2018-2019 as a deliberate statement piece: reviewers half-joked it was 'no longer a scooter' because of its sheer size, weight and speed. Built around a 7075-T6 aluminium frame, dual ~6700W hub motors, a 60V LG battery pack and 19-step adjustable hydraulic suspension on both ends, it set the template for the hyperscooter category. The 'X' badge became Minimotors' flagship line, later evolving into the 72V Dualtron X2 (2021) with taller ergonomics and ~8300W peak, and the 84V Dualtron X Limited (2022) with ~12000W peak, 5040Wh, and 4-piston ABS brakes.
