Prince FX
Origin
The Prince FX was Pinarello's mid-tier race carbon — a step down from the Dogma but explicitly designed to inherit its aero and asymmetric DNA at a more accessible price. It launched alongside the regular Prince in 2019 with disc brakes, TiCR full internal cable routing, and a concave down tube borrowed from the Bolide TT. Toray T900 carbon delivered a ~960 g frame, heavier than the Dogma but stiff and fast enough for serious club racing. In 2023 Pinarello restructured the range and discontinued both the Prince and Prince FX, replacing them with the F-Series (F9/F7/F5). Used examples remain popular as a 'most of the Dogma for less than half the price' choice, though parts and frameset spares are increasingly thin on the ground.
