9 / 9+
Origin
VSETT emerged around 2020-2021 as the direct successor to the ZERO scooter lineup — one of the most respected budget-performance e-scooter families of the late 2010s. When the ZERO brand transitioned, the same manufacturing and much of the same engineering DNA continued under the VSETT name, and the 8/9/10/11 model ladder maps closely onto the old ZERO 8/9/10/11 series. The VSETT 9 and 9+ sit in the sweet spot of that ladder: 8.5-inch pneumatic tires, dual suspension, and a genuinely portable folding chassis, positioned as a do-everything commuter that can also deliver real acceleration when the 9+'s second motor is switched in. VSETT scooters became widely distributed across Europe through specialist retailers, which is why the 9/9+ shows up on many EU shops with region-legal 25 km/h limiters that can be unlocked.

The verdict
- Strong value: dual-motor performance and premium features (ABS, turn signals, triple stem lock) at a mid-budget price.
- Confidence-inspiring ride — dual suspension + 8.5" pneumatics + rock-solid stem lock soak up bumps and kill wobble.
- Portable and versatile: ~23-25 kg folding chassis with switchable power modes (9+) for range-vs-punch trade-off.
- Range is modest for the class, especially on the smaller-battery 9+ trims and in full dual-motor mode.
- Handlebars don't fold fully flush and ~25 kg is heavy to carry up stairs regularly.
- Minor niggles reported: suspension squeaks on rough ground, weak horn, headlight aim shifts on bumps.
Generations
2020-2022 original 9 / 9+
- Core family. 9 = efficient single-motor commuter; 9+ = dual-motor with switchable modes. Mechanical (9) vs hydraulic+ABS (9+) brakes.
2024 9+ Apex revision
- Upgraded controller (higher output, better weather sealing), 700W motors for more torque, on-stem lightbar, updated throttle & display. Same chassis/tires.
