Origin

Launched around 2010 as the successor to the 595, the 695 was LOOK's no-compromise French race flagship and a showcase of in-house engineering. It offered arguably the largest palette of proprietary parts of any bike on sale — the ZED 2 one-piece carbon monobloc crankset, the oversized 65 mm bottom bracket, the HSC 7 fork, the Head Fit headset, the adjustable C-Stem and an integrated E-Post seatmast. The frame was claimed at roughly 900 g with seatmast — about 9% lighter and 10% stiffer than the 595 — making it both a featherweight and a notably stiff race platform.
