Bergamont E-Helix (Helix e-bike, Bosch SX)

The E-Helix (officially branded simply 'Helix' from MY2025 onward) is Bergamont's first integration of the Bosch Performance Line SX system — Bosch's lightweight mid-drive launched in 2023 — and signals a generational reset of the brand's trekking platform. The non-electric Helix has been Bergamont's everyday-trekking workhorse since the early 2010s, and the new motorised Helix takes the same 28-inch aluminium trekking frame and weaves a 400 Wh battery into the down-tube while keeping the bike under typical e-trekking weight. The launch range covers two main trims (Helix 10 Belt with Gates CDX belt drive, Helix 20 with conventional derailleur), each available in a diamond Gent frame or a low-step 'Slope' frame aimed at female riders and older commuters. By choosing the SX rather than the heavier Performance Line CX, Bergamont is positioning Helix as a 'first e-bike' — close enough to the feel of a normal bicycle that someone moving from a regular trekking bike into electric assistance does not lose the character of the ride.
