Izcelsme
Top Fuel SLR apzīmējums tika izmantots Top Fuel platformas 3. paaudzē (2022.–2024. gada modeļiem), lai atšķirtu premium oglekļa konstrukcijas no SL (zemāka līmeņa oglekļa) un alumīnija versijām. Pats Top Fuel ir Trek īsā gājiena pilnās piekares XC/down-country velosipēds kopš 2002. gada, attīstoties no 100 mm maratona sacīkšu velosipēda par moderno 120 mm aizmugures / 130 mm dakšas down-country formātu, kas noteica šo kategoriju. 3. paaudzes SLR izmantoja ABP četru sviru izkārtojumu, firmas Mino Link ģeometrijas flip-chip un rāmja svaru ap 2,4 kg krāsotu. 2025. gadam Trek laida klajā 4. paaudzi ar pārveidotu rāmi (160 g vieglāku), 4 pozīciju Mino Link, kas ļauj regulēt gājienu un riteņu izmēru starp 120 mm/29er un 130 mm/MX, un atteicās no SLR/SL nosaukumiem — visi oglekļa modeļi tagad ir vienkārši 'Top Fuel'. 4. paaudze tiek vērtēta kā viens no visvairāk regulējamiem XC/down-country velosipēdiem tirgū.
