Izcelsme

Top Fuel sāka savu dzīvi kā Trek šķēršļu brauciena pilnās piekares velosipēds, bet četru paaudžu laikā attīstījās par īsa gājiena taku velosipēdu — ko nozare tagad sauc par 'downcountry'. Pašreizējā Gen 4 (2025) izmanto 120 mm aizmugurējo gājienu caur Trek ABP piekares dizainu ar 130 mm dakšu standartā, un aizmuguri var atvērt līdz 130 mm, noņemot gājiena samazinātāju amortizatorā, ar rāmi, kas novērtēts līdz 140 mm dakšai — tas nozīmē, ka viens šasija aptver visu no XC maratona līdz vieglai taku braukšanai. Rāmji ir pieejami Alpha Platinum alumīnijā Top Fuel 5, 8 un 9 (€2,699-€4,799) vai OCLV Mountain Carbon 9.8 un 9.9 (€6,249-€10,499).
