Contacting sellers
Every listing has a Message Seller button. Chat happens inside URBALT — no need to share your phone or email unless you want to.
You can also message any member directly, with no listing involved — see Messages for the full inbox, filters and direct chat.
How chat works
- Open a listing and click Send message.
- Write your message. Keep the first one short — price, availability, pickup location.
- Replies arrive in your messages. You'll also get email notifications.
Verification badges
Look for badges next to the seller's name:
- EMAIL — basic account.
- PHONE — confirmed phone.
- ID — real-person verified (isikukood or equivalent).
- SHOP — business seller with storefront.
More badges = more signals the seller is real. But even with badges, follow the safety tips.
Safe communication
- Keep messages inside URBALT. If someone pushes you to WhatsApp or Telegram immediately, that's a yellow flag.
- Meet in a public place for pickup. Daylight, busy area.
- Inspect before paying. Test ride if possible.
- Never send money upfront for an item you haven't seen, especially for "reservations".
