Trek Domane+ SLR
Origin
The Domane+ SLR launched in 2023 as Trek's flagship lightweight electric road bike, built around the brand new TQ HPR50 motor — a German-engineered harmonic pin ring transmission that hides inside the bottom bracket and delivers near-silent assist. Trek partnered with TQ to escape the visual and weight penalty of conventional mid-drives, and the result is an e-road bike that looks almost indistinguishable from the analog Domane SLR. The 800 Series OCLV Carbon frame retains Trek's signature front and rear IsoSpeed decouplers, originally developed for Paris-Roubaix, so the bike doubles as a long-distance endurance machine on rough pavement and light gravel. A compact 360 Wh battery slips into a slim downtube and an optional 160 Wh range extender doubles autonomy for all-day rides.
