Specialized Turbo Tero
Origin
The Turbo Tero launched in 2022 as Specialized's mid-priced fitness/commuter e-bike, sitting between the urban-focused Vado and the trail-leaning Tero X. Built around the same full-power 2.x motor platform as the Vado and Levo (90 Nm on the top 5.0 trim, 70 Nm on the 4.0, 50 Nm on the 3.0), the Tero uses an aluminum E5 frame, a suspension fork on most trims, 29" wheels on size M and up, and mounting points for racks, fenders, and lights. Specialized positioned it for riders who wanted a single bike to handle gravel paths, light singletrack, urban commutes, and weekend errands without the speed-pedelec compromises of the Vado. The Tero shares its 710 Wh internal downtube battery with the Vado and Como, allowing service parts compatibility across the active lineup. Production runs through Specialized's Asian factories with EU distribution from Switzerland.
