Specialized Demo Race
Origin
The Demo is Specialized's downhill race weapon, with roots going back to the early 2000s. The current generation launched in 2021 after a long development cycle led by World Champion Loïc Bruni and the Specialized Gravity team, and it remains in production through 2026 with only minor updates. The Demo has won multiple UCI Downhill World Championships and overall World Cup titles under Bruni — including three consecutive World Champs golds, making him only the second male rider in history to achieve that feat. 200mm front/200mm rear travel, mixed wheels (29/27.5), and a high-pivot-adjacent suspension design refined on the World Cup circuit. The fact that Specialized races alloy (not carbon) at the top level is telling — the Demo is built to be abused.
