Origin

Canyon launched the Endurace AL alongside the carbon CF version in 2014 as a deliberate counter-argument to the idea that endurance road bikes had to be expensive carbon. The aluminum chassis carried the same Sport Pro Geometry as its CF sibling—relaxed head angle, taller stack, longer wheelbase—so a rider could buy in at half the price without giving up the ergonomics that made the platform famous on cobble classics. Through 2018 and 2021 the frame was redrawn with hydroformed tubes, disc-brake mounts, and 35 mm tyre clearance, and from 2024 onward it was repositioned and rebadged as the Endurace AllRoad: a single-spec, fender- and rack-compatible commuter-flavoured endurance machine running mechanical Shimano CUES on alloy wheels. It is the cheapest road bike Canyon currently sells, and the only non-carbon Endurace still in the catalogue.
