SuperioreXC
e-mtb
01
Origin
The eXC arrived in 2019 as Superior practical answer to riders seeking Bosch-assisted trail riding without the cost or complexity of a full-suspension e-MTB. The hardtail platform keeps weight down and servicing simple while the Bosch mid-drive motor transforms it for loaded touring, hilly commutes and mixed-surface adventure. Assembled at BFI in Koprivnice alongside the full-suspension eXF.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Bosch Performance Line motor is dependable, well-supported by dealers, and delivers natural-feeling trail assistance
- Hardtail design keeps weight low and service cost down compared to full-suspension e-MTBs at the same price
- Schwalbe Hurricane tires are a practical all-condition choice for mixed trail and path use
−Weaknesses
- Rigid rear end amplifies trail chop at speed — the hardtail penalty is magnified on descents that reward rear suspension
- SR Suntour XCR32 fork is adequate but noticeably less refined than RockShox or Fox equivalents
- 625 Wh battery gives less range than the eXF 750 Wh flagship — long mountain days may require careful assist management
