Origin

Minimotors is a South Korean manufacturer (founded in Seoul) that became one of the defining names in performance electric scooters through its Speedway and Dualtron lines, distributed globally under the Minimotors / Dualtron brands. The Speedway series traces back to the early 2010s as a no-nonsense commuter platform, and the Speedway 5 arrived around 2017 as the model that finally brought dual-motor drive to the Speedway family — doubling peak power to 3600W over the Speedway 4 while keeping the familiar folding aluminium chassis, 10-inch pneumatic tyres and dual spring suspension. It sat below the flagship Dualtron machines as an accessible entry into genuine 40 mph performance, and its longevity made it a fixture in scooter communities and rental fleets for years after launch.
