Origin
The Boreas is Romet's gravel line, offered in lighter 'Lite' trims and made and assembled in Poland. A 6061 aluminium frame tuned for a balance of dynamics and comfort pairs with a carbon fork and a flared handlebar for confident off-road control. Drivetrains span Shimano 10-speed and SRAM Apex up to 11-speed on the Boreas 2 Lite, riding on Ryde DP19 rims with Schwalbe G-One 38c tires — a complete gravel package around 10.4-10.6 kg.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Light for an aluminium gravel bike (~10.4-10.6 kg) thanks to the carbon fork
- Choice of Shimano or SRAM Apex drivetrains across trims
- Made and assembled in Poland with quality Schwalbe rubber
−Weaknesses
- Entry Lite trim uses mechanical rather than hydraulic discs
- Aluminium frame can't match carbon gravel bikes for outright weight/compliance
- 38c tire clearance is moderate for very rough terrain
