PolygonSiskiu D

01
Origin
The Siskiu D appeared in 2018 as Polygon's entry into the XC trail full-suspension category — a more affordable alternative to the aggressive Siskiu T. It uses a simplified one-piece linkage rear suspension that Polygon developed to minimize flex while keeping weight and cost down. The Wheel Fit sizing strategy (27.5 for smaller frames, 29 for larger) addresses fit-to-performance balance across rider heights.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Affordable entry into full-suspension XC with quality RockShox suspension on D7
- Wheel Fit sizing system genuinely improves fit across the range
- One-piece linkage keeps maintenance simpler than complex multi-link designs
−Weaknesses
- 120mm travel is conservative compared to trail-oriented competitors
- Lower tiers (D5/D6) use SunTour suspension, which lags behind name-brand forks for tunability
- Geometry is less aggressive than the Siskiu T, limiting descending confidence on technical terrain
