Origin

Orbea entered the gravel segment in 2019 with the Terra, and it quickly became the brand's most versatile road-family model. The 2025 generation was the most substantial update: the OMR carbon frame dropped 90 g, tire clearance grew to 50 mm, the internal Lockr storage gained 35%, and the geometry stretched for better stability on rough tracks. The carbon fork gained sculpted cutouts to absorb vibration alongside the 27.2 mm flex seatpost — a system-level approach to ride comfort over long gravel stages.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • 50 mm tire clearance covers everything from fast gravel to light bikepacking
  • System-level comfort: sculpted fork + flex seatpost + OMR compliance work together
  • Lockr internal storage keeps the frame clean and eliminates bags on everyday rides
Weaknesses
  • OMR carbon is more compliant but heavier than top OMX — a deliberate trade-off
  • Internal routing and Lockr add weight vs simpler external-cable competitors
  • The longer, more stable geometry is less spry on tight technical singletrack
