Speedway Mini 4 Pro
Origin
The Speedway Mini 4 Pro is the scooter that proved 'commuter' and 'performance' didn't have to be opposites. Minimotors — the Korean parent behind Dualtron — engineered the Mini 4 Pro as a downsized expression of their high-end DNA: Panasonic cells, an aluminum monocoque, regenerative drum brakes, and a 748 Wh pack squeezed into a 16 kg folding chassis. It's small enough to carry up a flight of stairs and stash under a desk, but its 1360W peak motor punches well above the 250W EU class. For years it was the de-facto answer to the question 'I want a Dualtron but I live in a 5th-floor walkup.' Still in production six years on, still essentially unchanged — which in this segment is itself a statement.

The verdict
- Premium Minimotors build: forged aluminum chassis with Panasonic-cell 748 Wh pack, rare at this price point
- Strong real-world range of ~50–56 km — exceptional for a 16 kg mini scooter
- Punchy acceleration and ~45 km/h top speed (28 mph) from the 1360 W peak motor, well above typical mini scooters
- Dual suspension plus a front pneumatic tire give a smooth ride on rough city pavement
- Genuinely portable and apartment-friendly: light enough to carry upstairs and fold under a desk
- Some play/flex in the handlebars and main stem — a recurring build-quality complaint
- Mediocre hill climbing; heavier riders may need to kick-assist on steep inclines
- Weak weather sealing (~IPX4) with user reports of motor failure after rain — strictly a fair-weather scooter
- Lights are dim for night riding; the protruding display unit is also criticized as inelegant
- Premium price (~€949–1199) is high relative to budget mini scooters with similar on-paper speed
