HerculesPasero
e-trekking
01
Origin
The Pasero was developed as Hercules's performance e-trekking answer for riders wanting more than relaxed city comfort: a Brose motor instead of Bosch shifts the character toward sporty efficiency. Brose Drive S Mag Pro is optimised for silence and natural pedalling feel — the double sprag clutch means zero motor drag when free-wheeling above 25 km/h. The Pasero SUV variant extends the concept to gravel/light off-road use with wider tyres.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Brose Drive S Mag Pro is among the quietest mid-motors available — barely audible on smooth tarmac
- No motor drag above 25 km/h makes unassisted sections feel natural, not like pushing a heavy motor
- Shimano XT 1×12 on Pro I-12 is a class-appropriate drivetrain with wide 10–51T range for loaded touring
−Weaknesses
- Brose app/ecosystem less developed than Bosch Smart System — no eShift or full navigation integration
- Display and connected features behind Bosch-based competitors at equivalent price
- ZEG-exclusive dealer network limits after-sales service in markets without ZEG presence
