Origin
The Force arrived in 2015 as GT's answer to the enduro revolution — a long-travel 29er with the brand's unique High Pivot LTS suspension geometry. The idler pulley in the High Pivot system eliminates pedal kickback while maintaining chain tension at extreme suspension positions, borrowing technology from downhill racing.

The verdict
+Strengths
- High Pivot LTS delivers exceptional traction and a remarkably controlled feel over rough enduro terrain
- Flip chip chainstay adjustment lets riders dial agility vs stability without tools at the trailhead
- Carbon builds are race-spec worthy: Code RSC brakes, X01 Eagle, and Zeb Ultimate leave nothing wanting
−Weaknesses
- High Pivot geometry can make the Force feel less playful and nimble on flowy blue trails
- Alloy Sport trim spec (MicroSHIFT 10-speed) feels mismatched against the capable suspension platform
- Heavier than some competitors' carbon enduro bikes due to the idler system complexity
