GT SE
Origin
E-Twow (pronounced 'e-two') is a brand engineered in the early 2010s and long associated with Romanian/Chinese manufacturing, sold internationally under partner badges including Uscooters (US) and various EU distributors. It effectively invented the modern ultra-portable e-scooter category: the original E-Twow S2 was, for years, the lightest capable adult electric scooter you could buy, and it built a cult following among city commuters and multi-modal travellers who valued one-hand carry over raw performance. The GT line arrived as the flagship, adding the big 504Wh Samsung battery and dual spring suspension while keeping the featherweight aluminium chassis. The 'SE' (Smart Edition), introduced around 2020, layered Bluetooth app control on top -- speed limiting, a software lock with alarm, zero-start and trip data -- turning a purely mechanical scooter into a connected one without adding meaningful weight.
Specifications
- Frame
- Aluminium alloy, adjustable handlebar height (~92-100 cm)
- Weight
- kg
- Brakes
- Triple: rear drum + electronic regenerative (recovers up to ~60% energy) + rear fender/stomp friction brake
The verdict
- Class-leading 504Wh battery and real ~30 km usable range in a sub-13 kg body
- Genuinely ultra-portable one-hand carry, with dual spring suspension that's rare at this weight
- Smart Edition app adds lock/alarm, speed limiting and trip data without adding bulk
- 8-inch solid tires are firm and buzzy on rough surfaces despite the suspension
- Speedometer over-reads noticeably versus GPS; loud UI beeps and small rear brake light
- No true ride modes (only speed caps), and the folding is partial -- stem retracts but bars stay long
Generations
GT (original)
- Pre-SE mechanical flagship; same chassis/battery, no Bluetooth.
GT SE / GT 2020 SE
- Adds app: speed limit, software lock + alarm, zero-start, trip stats. The definitive 2020-2022 model.
GT SE Sport
- Same body with a hotter 1000W motor kit for more torque/speed; heavier draw on range.
GT Sport (2023+)
- Current-generation branding of the same platform, minor refinements, still airless tires.
