Origin

The Cube Touring line is Cube's classic German trekking platform, with the Touring Pro sitting as the well-equipped mid trim. The goal is a complete European trekking bike straight out of the box — dynamo lights, mudguards, rear rack, kickstand and chain case all fitted, so no aftermarket accessories are needed. It positions between a 'tourer' and a 'shopper': comfortable for commuting, errands and light credit-card touring rather than performance or continent-crossing rides.

+Strengths
  • Exceptionally comfortable, upright and stable ride — relaxed geometry plus 47 mm Schwalbe tyres and a 63 mm suspension fork soak up rough surfaces.
  • Complete out-of-the-box trekking package: hub-dynamo lights, mudguards, rear rack, kickstand and chain case all included.
  • Shimano BR-MT200 hydraulic disc brakes give reliable all-weather stopping unusual at this price point.
  • Simple, sturdy aluminium frame and serviceable 3×8 Shimano drivetrain are cheap and easy to maintain.
  • Strong value-for-money 'ready to ride' commuter, earning 8/10 from road.cc.
−Weaknesses
  • Heavy — about 17.1 kg fully equipped, noticeable on climbs and when lifting/carrying.
  • Upright comfort geometry discourages spirited or fast riding; too relaxed for long-distance loaded touring.
  • Braking power can feel limited on descents when heavily loaded.
  • 3×8 Alivio/Acera drivetrain is dated versus modern 1× setups.
  • Pricey for a Cube once specced with all the accessories; rivals offer similar core parts for less.
