Origin
The Meta TR (Trail) carved out a niche between the Meta AM enduro sled and the Meta HT hardtail — a full-suspension trail bike for all-day rides without enduro weight. Launched 2019, it reached V4 in 2023 with refreshed geometry and the flip-chip option. Designed for riders who pedal as much as they descend.

The verdict
+Strengths
- Excellent all-day trail performer — efficient climbing with real descending capability
- Flip-chip geometry adjustment adds genuine versatility for different terrain
- Direct-to-consumer pricing makes it exceptional value for a 140mm full-suspension bike
−Weaknesses
- Single-pivot design offers less small-bump sensitivity than multi-link alternatives
- Not specialized enough for dedicated enduro racing or pure XC
- Component spec on entry builds can feel mismatched with the capable frame
