Origin
Launched in 2023 as Colnago's flagship aero-race platform, the V4Rs was engineered specifically around Tadej Pogacar's Tour de France campaign. It was penned by designer Torgny Fjeldskaar (ex-BMC), who gave it sharp, angular lines and silver shading that broke from classic Colnago aesthetics. It replaced the V3Rs and became the WorldTour weapon of UAE Team Emirates.

- Geometry is built for pros - long, low and aggressive; amateurs struggle to exploit it
- Stiffness costs comfort - more road buzz than an endurance bike on rough surfaces
- Eye-wateringly expensive (~£12,599 / €12,630 for the Dura-Ace build)
- Shipped with clincher tires rather than tubeless on the tested build
- Angular, silver styling alienates traditional Colnago buyers who prefer the C68's heritage looks
