Origin

The Vigorelli is one of Cinelli's modern icons — named after Milan's legendary Vigorelli velodrome and credited as the bike that helped define fixed-gear criterium racing. The aluminium Vigorelli Track uses Columbus Airplane triple-butted alloy with aero tube profiles and a carbon fork, and is UCI-approved for the track; a Columbus steel version and a road-disc variant extend the family. With short 377 mm chainstays and removable track dropouts, it's stiff, reactive and built to race.

The verdict

+Strengths
  • Iconic, UCI-approved track/fixed frameset with real racing pedigree
  • Stiff, reactive handling from short chainstays and aero alloy tubing
  • Versatile: pure track, street, or criterium use
Weaknesses
  • Single-speed/fixed only — not a do-everything road bike
  • Aggressive track geometry is harsh for casual riding
  • Brakeless track setup needs street modification (drillable fork) for road use
