Origin

Canyon launched the Endurace in 2014 as its endurance road platform — relaxed geometry, the VCLS split-shaft compliance seatpost, and (for the era) generous 25 mm tyres, sold consumer-direct from Koblenz. Over a decade it spawned an aluminium AL tier and carbon CF, CF SLX and CFR tiers, gained disc brakes and thru-axles (2016), then top-tube storage and adjustable-width bars (2023). With the 2026 CFR/CF SLX redesign — co-developed with Swiss Side for aero and called by Canyon 'the smoothest-riding road bikes we have ever developed' — the Endurace edged from pure comfort toward an aero all-road racer, controversially shedding much of its original endurance identity.

Brakes: Hydraulic disc across the range. CF SL 8: Shimano Ultegra R8020 hydraulic disc. AL 7: Shimano 105 R7020 hydraulic disc. Centerlock rotors, flat-mount.
Wheels: Build-dependent alloy/carbon. CF SL 8 (2024): DT Swiss Endurance LN alloy, 22 mm rim height, centerlock (852 g front / 999 g rear). AL 7: Fulcrum Racing 900 DB alloy, tubeless-ready, ~1950 g/pair. CFR: carbon aero wheels.
