Trek Slash
Algupära
Slash is Trek's enduro race weapon, born in 2011 as a 160mm 26er evolution of the Remedy and progressively pushed deeper into gravity territory with each generation. Gen 6 (introduced for 2024) was the most radical redesign: Trek abandoned the classic ABP layout for an idler-pulley high-pivot suspension with 170mm rear travel, 170mm fork, and a 63.3° head angle, designed in collaboration with the Trek Factory Racing Enduro team. The high pivot generates rearward axle path under impact, allowing the wheel to move out of the way of square-edge hits — a layout pioneered by Commencal and Forbidden which Trek tuned around its proprietary ABP and progression curve. Frames are produced in both alloy and OCLV carbon. The Slash is benchmarked against the Specialized Enduro, Yeti SB160, Norco Range, and Privateer 161, and has finished on EWS/EDR podiums multiple seasons.
