Algupära

Aftermarket comfort upgrade for the suspension-less Xiaomi M365 — solving the single most-complained-about aspect of the platform Multiple — Monorim R&D in Shenzhen is the most credible; generic forks come from a long tail of Guangdong OEM workshops with no individual brand identity No unified name — 'front suspension fork' is generic. Monorim products use cryptic letter+number codes (MR0, V2, V3, V4). Generic listings on AliExpress use whatever keywords the seller thinks will rank. None — the suspension-less M365 fork was the only option in 2019. Aftermarket forks created the category. Within the category: Monorim V4 vs Ulip premium vs generic. Outside the category: full-suspension scooters with factory forks (Ninebot Max G30, Apollo City) make the upgrade unnecessary if you're buying new.

Verdikt

+Tugevused
  • Transforms ride comfort on rough urban tarmac, cobblestones, and small potholes — the single biggest comfort upgrade available for the M365 platform
  • Genuine bolt-on installation — no frame modification, welding, or specialist tools required for any reasonably handy owner
  • Wide price range — €25 generic to €120 premium Monorim — accommodates any budget within the category
  • Improves rider confidence at speeds 20-25 km/h on imperfect surfaces (most actual urban commuting)
  • Monorim platform has mature spare parts support — replace springs, bushings, and seals individually
  • Reduces wrist/shoulder fatigue on 10+ km daily commutes meaningfully
  • Visually upgrades the scooter — most owners enjoy the more aggressive look
  • Re-saleable on the second-hand market with minimal value loss vs new price
Nõrkused
  • Adds 250-400g of unsprung weight — slightly worse for portability (folding+carrying up apartment stairs)
  • Changes scooter geometry — slacker head angle, raised ride height — requires 1-2 weeks of adjustment and some owners prefer stock feel
  • Generic spring-only forks 'pogo' on consecutive bumps without damping — uncomfortable on washboard road sections
  • Voids manufacturer warranty on front-end components
  • Generic fork quality is wildly inconsistent — same listing may ship different units; reviews >6 months old can be misleading
  • Cold-weather damping on oil-cartridge forks is sluggish below 0°C until warmed up by 3-5 minutes of riding
  • Most generic forks are non-adjustable — fixed spring rate doesn't suit very light (<60kg) or very heavy (>100kg) riders
  • Front brake calliper position changes after install — almost always requires brake re-alignment and sometimes shorter hose/cable
  • Headlight and motor cable routing through the fork lower is tight — risk of cable damage during install
  • On Pro/Pro2 the stem mount is slightly different from M365 — buying the wrong SKU is the #1 return reason on AliExpress
