As XC courses got rougher, many brands moved to 120mm travel. Canyon chose to keep the 'World Cup' strictly at 100mm to preserve its explosive sprinting nature and low weight, creating the separate 'Lux Trail' for those needing more cushion. Gen 1 (2022-present): Canyon officially rebranded the 100mm travel race version of the Lux as 'Lux World Cup' to differentiate it from the 120mm 'Lux Trail'.
