Cannondale Treadwell Neo

Launched in 2020 as the e-bike sibling of the popular non-electric Treadwell flat-bar urban bike, the Treadwell Neo was designed by Cannondale's American team in Wilton, Connecticut, around one core insight — most urban riders don't want a bike that looks like an e-bike. The frame hides the battery inside the down tube and uses a near-invisible Hyena MRC-250 rear hub motor (250W, EU-spec 25km/h cutoff) with an integrated 250Wh battery. Total system weight stays under 16kg, making it one of the lightest e-bikes in its category. The Treadwell Neo connects to Cannondale's mobile app for activity tracking, service reminders and theft alerts via integrated GPS on EQ models. The 'EQ' variants add fenders, rack, integrated lights and a kickstand for full commuter readiness; 'Remixte' denotes the low step-through frame. Refreshed for 2024 with updated motor firmware and new colourways, the platform remains a core part of Cannondale's urban e-bike strategy for 2025-2026.
