The Cannondale Adventure started life over a decade ago as a comfort-oriented hybrid — high handlebars, plush saddle, slightly suspended front fork — aimed at the rider who wanted to roll along a rail-trail without bending their back into a road-bike crouch. The line has since pivoted hard toward electric. The non-electric Adventure has quietly faded from the catalog in most markets, while the Adventure Neo family has expanded into a full sub-platform: the comfort-tuned Adventure Neo for paved paths, the more rugged Adventure Neo Allroad with wider tires and more aggressive geometry for unpaved trails, and the Speed (S) variant — a 28 mph Class 3 e-bike with a 750 W Bafang hub motor and 720 Wh battery, priced around $2,025 USD. The whole line sits at the friendly intersection of "first e-bike" and "first comfort bike" — upright posture, step-through frame options, racks and fenders ready to bolt on, and pricing that starts well below most premium e-bike marketing copy would suggest.
