Filante SLR
Algupära
Wilier Triestina is one of cycling's oldest surviving marques, founded in Bassano del Grappa, Italy in 1906 by Pietro Dal Molin. The name is an acronym of the patriotic slogan 'W l'Italia Liberata E Redenta' ('Long live Italy, liberated and redeemed'), and its bronze-copper 'ramato' finish became an icon of post-war Italian racing. The Filante SLR arrived in autumn 2020 as the direct replacement for the ageing Cento10 aero platform. Rather than chase raw aero numbers with heavy, bluff tube shapes, Wilier's engineers rounded and radiused the Kammtail profiles to cut the resin needed to form them, dropping frameset weight roughly 11% versus the Cento10Pro while keeping WorldTour-level stiffness. The result was pitched as a bike that fused the low weight of Wilier's Zero SLR climbers with the aerodynamics of its dedicated aero racer — a genuine 'aero all-rounder'. It has since carried Groupama-FDJ and Astana Qazaqstan riders. In October 2025 Wilier launched the substantially revised Filante SLR ID2, adding a re-profiled frame (claimed 13.6% aero gain), the Aerokit integrated cockpit and hydration system, and clearance for tyres up to 34mm.

Verdikt
- Light-footed, eager acceleration and confident, nimble handling for a genuine all-round race feel
- Striking Italian looks and paint — one of the best-looking superbikes in its class
- Aero gains without the usual dead, heavy ride; ID2 adds 34mm tyre clearance and better composure
- Very expensive at the top end (five-figure builds); frameset alone is premium-priced
- Demanding, race-focused ride — less forgiving on rough roads than endurance rivals
- Original model's 30mm tyre limit and narrower rims feel dated next to newer bikes (fixed on ID2)
