Algupära

The Arcalis arrived in 2012 as Stevens' wind-tunnel-validated aero road platform. Like the Izoard it is named after a famous climb — Port d'Arcalís, a high-altitude finish in Andorra that has featured in La Vuelta. The design philosophy is maximum integration: all cables are hidden, the seatpost has 0 mm or 20 mm offset aero options, and the fork uses 100% carbon fibre from dropout to steerer in a single piece. Stevens validated the design in a wind tunnel, claiming 207 W at 45 km/h in race position — strong numbers for a frameset at this price.
